Set on beautiful acreage in Celina, The Refined Acre Project started with a home that already had warmth and character: a natural stone fireplace, dark wood floors, plantation shutters, and views that connect the main living spaces to the outdoors. But the furnishings felt dated, plain, and disconnected from the way the family actually lived.
For this family of four, home is often found in the quieter pockets of the day — coffee before the kids wake up, weekend mornings in the living room, dinner around the table when everyone is finally home, and the rare but treasured moments when they can all slow down together.
We designed the refresh around those rhythms. Comfortable chairs that everyone now fights over. A living room that feels easy to settle into. A dining nook that makes everyday meals feel more intentional. An entry that sets a warm tone the second you walk in.
The result is a home that feels collected, grounded, and welcoming. It’s refined enough to feel elevated, but comfortable enough for real family life.

"LOVE Home Sweet Happy so much and how amazing they made our home. We had a very mix-matched downstairs after moving with furniture and decor that didn’t “fit” our new space, but we had been just making it work. We have odd shaped spaces so we’re struggling with how large the furniture should be, and my husband and I don’t have exactly the same taste in design. Maegan and Kasey listened to both of us and put together such a beautiful, thoughtful design that we would’ve never been able to do ourselves. They also scheduled and project managed the whole install (new lighting, painting, electrical, hanging, etc). "I was referred to HSH by a friend when my house got flooded in the 2021 freeze and had to be practically rebuilt. Maegan came over. We had a long conversation about my likes and preferences, she made suggestions (I was amazed at her creativity! A gazillion wonderful ideas!) Later she showed me samples to choose from and she took over. SEAMLESS. The day I went back to my house (after 8 months of reconstruction and remodeling) She was standing there with her beautiful smile and my house was awesome! Way more beautiful than I had expected.
