From space planning and finish selections to sourcing, ordering, tracking, and installation day, we manage the details that make projects feel smooth—and results feel finished.
Meet Maegan
THE HOMEBODY OWNER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
I’m Maegan—owner and principal designer of Home Sweet Happy Designs. Before design became my full-time work, I spent years in the elementary classroom, which taught me something I still bring into every project: people thrive when they feel supported, informed, and confident in what’s next.
I grew up just east of Dallas and now call Prosper home with my husband, our twin girls, and our doodle, Beau. I believe a well-designed home should look beautiful and work beautifully—spaces that feel elevated, but never untouchable. My style is grounded in timeless foundations, warm neutrals, and thoughtful texture, finished with the kind of details that make a home feel complete.
At the heart of our studio is a simple goal: create homes where life unfolds easily—where your people can gather, rest, celebrate, and feel completely at home.

I’m Kasey, Director of Operations—the behind-the-scenes engine that keeps your project running smoothly. I’m detail-forward, systems-driven, and deeply invested in making the design experience feel as seamless as the finished home looks.
I’m often described as the structure to Maegan’s creative vision: I keep timelines on track, communication clear, and the countless moving pieces organized—because in a high-touch project, the little details matter most. My background spans project management and customer service, and I bring that same steady leadership into every HSHD project.
I’m based in Houston with my husband, Cody, and our Texas brown dog, Riley. When I’m not working, you’ll find me at church, squeezing in Mahjong or pickleball, or enjoying time at home—because I genuinely love what a warm, well-run home makes possible.

"LOVE Home Sweet Happy so much and how amazing they made our home. We had a very mix-matched downstairs after moving with furniture and decor that didn’t “fit” our new space, but we had been just making it work. We have odd shaped spaces so we’re struggling with how large the furniture should be, and my husband and I don’t have exactly the same taste in design. Maegan and Kasey listened to both of us and put together such a beautiful, thoughtful design that we would’ve never been able to do ourselves. They also scheduled and project managed the whole install (new lighting, painting, electrical, hanging, etc). "I was referred to HSH by a friend when my house got flooded in the 2021 freeze and had to be practically rebuilt. Maegan came over. We had a long conversation about my likes and preferences, she made suggestions (I was amazed at her creativity! A gazillion wonderful ideas!) Later she showed me samples to choose from and she took over. SEAMLESS. The day I went back to my house (after 8 months of reconstruction and remodeling) She was standing there with her beautiful smile and my house was awesome! Way more beautiful than I had expected.
